Export papers and Spain import papers are not the same list
What the origin country files to let the box leave, and what Spain asks when it arrives.
Export is the seller's country
China, Vietnam, India, the United States, Turkey, and Morocco do not use one export form. China and Vietnam file their own customs declaration. India uses a shipping bill. Turkey's customs union with the EU makes the ATR the document to ask about for most industrial goods. The quote form shows a short note for the origin you pick. It is a reminder, not a legal opinion.
Import into Spain
Spain wants an EORI number, a customs declaration (the DUA), and the invoice and packing list behind it. Duty and VAT are not the ocean freight. A first-time importer often does not have an EORI yet, and the desk should see that flag before it promises a delivery date.
Is the HS code required to get an estimate?
No. It is optional on a quote-only request and required when you say you are ready to book. The code in the list is a heading, not a binding classification.
